When you find yourself in the middle, I think we need to reframe how we think about the situation. As Graham points out is the situation represents a great opportunity. The challenge is to improve the situation. As a good consultant you can assess what people are ready to do. If you can ellicit cooperation of the players, you can create real improvement that gives a success experince for everybody which will increase their readiness to make additional changes. Frustration is not constructive. Use the energy to increase your creativity to ellicit cooperation.
